Yes, the OGHom steamer is safe to use on all fabric types including delicate materials like silk, synthetic blends, cotton, linen, and heavy fabrics. The 700W powerful steam is effective enough to remove wrinkles from thick materials while being gentle enough for delicate garments. However, never steam clothes while you're wearing them as the steam temperature can be very hot and cause burns.

Water spurting usually happens for a few reasons: the water level is above the MAX line, you're tilting the steamer instead of holding it upright, you're using tap water with mineral buildup, or there's residue in the tank. Always use distilled or purified water, hold the steamer upright during use, and fill below the MAX line. If spurting continues, clean the water tank with a vinegar solution (8:2 water to vinegar ratio) or lemon water (7:3 ratio), boil it, then dump it out.

The OGHom steamer is designed for American voltage standard (110-120V, 50/60Hz) only. If you're traveling to countries with 220-240V outlets (most of Europe, Asia, etc.), you must use a voltage transformer that converts to 110V - not just a plug adapter. Using it with only a plug adapter on 220-240V outlets will cause a malfunction and potentially damage the steamer. Make sure your transformer can handle at least 700W of power.
